Cotton Candy Wishes by Kristina Springer

Taylor has a disastrous birthday party where no one turns up, theme being cotton candy everything which sounds amazing to me! However feeling sad no one came, she makes a birthday wish to become a member of the popular group of girls in school.

So when Taylor and her family move towns it's her chance to be a member of the popular group. Whom at this new school are led by Elle and Daniel is the hot popular guy Elle tries to pair Taylor off with throughout the book.

However Taylor and Daniel both don't like each other that way it becomes clear as Taylor begins to realise the popular girls she wished to be friends with maybe aren't the best company to keep if they're not genuine friends...

The book reminds me of You Wish by Mandy Hubbard which I also really enjoy themed around birthdays. It shows the way to spot friends being genuine or not and how it's best to find and stock to those who'll be there for you and not just use you.
