A Beautiful Day For A wedding by Charlotte Butterfield

Eve is a wedding journalist and magazine agony aunt whose friends are all getting married so as she struggles to help plan and attend five then later that becomes six, weddings, Ben the guy she expected to marry shows up again at a wedding after jilting her at the airport years before leaving her to live in New York alone.

As her brother's, Ayesha, Tanya and Becca's weddings all look closer and take place there's psychic action through sceance, Harry Potter themes parties and besides looking after Tanya's flat she has to dog sit for her too despite her rotten attitude and lack of respect we later see for her have for her so called friend!

Then there's Ben showing up everywhere, but as the pair reconnect and discover the years they missed out on each other's lives, will the old spark reignite?

As Eve tries to find her ideal man who's name coincidentally begins with a B as the psychic told her...

With a lot of wedding drama, heartbreak and craziness in the build up to the weddings this shows the way the big day can take a toll on the most prepared of girls! It shows even wedding journalists can feel the big day blues, every girl might stress over their lippy for the wedding but not even factor in having to face their ex again! Full of fun, dramatic fallouts and wild antics in some cases as well as showing freaky coincidences can lead to happiness this is a book perfect for wedding season!

The Summer Of Us by Cecilia Vinesse

Eighteen year old's, Aubrey and Rae are best friends but both dealing with a lot. Leaving to travel on trains from London to Paris, Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Florence, Rome and Barcelona along with their friends, Gabe, Jonah and Clara.

However the travelling makes things hard on them all after
Jonah catches Aubrey and Gabe kissing and it's not the first time they've kissed either...

Meanwhile Rae fancies Clara but believes she is straight so when she shocks her with what she tells her a spark of hope just might get struck alight within her heart...

As all the friends wind up in two's after Aubrey and Gabe's kiss,
there's parties, arguments, new couple's forming and whilst Rae doesn't want to move to Australia and fears letting to of everything and everyone, she realises they're all going to feel the same no mate how much they don't want to separate, it's just how life goes.

The book was told from a split perspective between Aubrey and Rae as it also features the girls romantic relationships predominantly as Aubrey has a heterosexual relationship whilst Rae has a lesbian relationship.

The descriptive writing of the girls describing things was really great and some nice metaphors were used throughout, the places they travel to felt real and the characters falling for each other was totally believable.

Over all it was a great travel book and is perfect for anyone heading off to university themselves and it could be reassuring for them in how they feel about moving being totally valid.

Get ready for adventure and self discovery!

Toxic by Nicci Cloke

Hope is on holiday in Crete with the boys, Dev, Nate and Zack also including Logan her ex boyfriend. When she gets rejected by wrongly trying to kiss him, she sets out to get drunk and forget.

The next day they head off on a booze cruise to an island where she meets Ness, Emily and Hayley with the boys while on board one of then dabbles in drugs but Hope hates the idea of then but not of getting drunk enough to forget anything and everything. The booze boat, sleazy guy and the girls from their hotel they bumped into again.

Then she wakes up the next morning unable to recall the whole night before as she is on the beach, dress round her waist and euro's missing from her bag.

Then Logan and Zack have a secret to keep, a criminal one...

Once back home, Logan starts digging trying to find out what really happened to Hope. As well as struggling with his guilt by sleeping a lot and sinking into depression and worrying he's not good enough for Daisy his girlfriend as they get their A level results.

Dev has a hidden true story from the night whilst JB makes an announcement to the group...

Then Logan discovers Emily went missing that night on holiday and it's on the news online...

There's also the issue of a TV show capturing them on camera partying for the world to watch...

Hope and Logan's latest ex Daisy are pushed together after they both experience similar horrifying situations while there's an attack based purely on gay phobia against one of their friends...

There's drug use alcohol abuse and sex references to throughout so this is definitely a book for older teens. The use of crude language about casual sex from a parent to their son and the son's friends was a bit much. But the story is so important about the dangers of cheap booze holidays abroad especially when friends aren't looking out for each other properly as so much danger could happen as you're so drunk and vulnerable as the teens get in this book. The boys do stick to a typical lads holiday treating Hope fully like one of them unfortunately but they're all deep into their own issues it seems like drink and drugs are the boy's way out of forgetting their life stresses and it can be similar to real life like that. Totally representative of some stereotypical teens and the dangers out there and a true test of how well we all know our friends fully.

Too Late by Colleen Hoover

Sloan and Asa are a couple where it seems, he always needs sex. Sloan is trapped and has to rely on him and his money to help her but he sells drugs and has too many parties for her liking but he pays for her brother's special care.

In university Spanish class Carter and Sloan meet and go on a date but Asa has a tracker on Sloane unknown to her whilst sleeps with any girl uses them and calls them a whore in his mind after his father issues we learn about.

Asa is overprotective of Sloan being his property and is particular about the company he keeps. So much so he doesn't see Carter and Sloan becoming close as she grows more scared of Asa and his behaviour.

Then there's a huge twist ahead with Luke and Ryan who are undercover cops, Asa is onto them and plays on schizophrenia like his parents doing many pills and loving his coconut cake.

There is a shooting, very tense all through the last few chapters and two epilogues to finish an amazing book!
