Jody grew up in Rabbits Leap after the death of her mum and emotional loss of her dad her brother Tony helped her when she became pregnant with her two boys who are her priority in life. She has a secret about the pool that makes her want to get it fixed but without people knowing why..

Even though she swore off men, Jody and Christian have an instant attraction and great chemistry together both unable to hide nor deny their feelings.

Christian however hides his own secret about why he left London's event planning world and it could threaten to tear the tender couple apart.

A great little chick lit read I was pulled in by the title sounding so fun and then realising the village of the setting was called Rabbits Leap and I love rabbits! I enjoyed the way the pair couldn't fight the their chemistry and that there was the children and work to factor in, true sacrifice was made from Christian especially uprooting and moving to his new life.

Access All Awkward by Beth Garrod

In the final of the trilogy that has brought me many laughs as Bella's antics take many twists and turns, mostly embarrassing ones, we see how her along with best friends Rach and Tegan all look forward to the end of their GCSEs and head to a festival where they take on their once loved now most hated famous boy band, The Session as they treat their fans horrifically and sexist language slurs fly too.

But first Bella must meet her own boyfriend, Adam's parents!

However at the festival nothing goes straight forward from run ins with old boyfriend Luke along with his frankly odd singer girlfriend Ska, the girls they admire who they often see around turn out to be backstabbing bullies and Jo Bella's sister be their chaperone at the festival which surprises the group, this festival is full of drama not to mention starting their own petition against the session band and supporting Adam Bella's boyfriend and his band too! Full of feminism fuelled fighting young girls taking on sexism and showing what true friendship is all about!

My Big Greek Summer by Sue Roberts

When bar manager Mandy finds out her husband Danny has been having a fling she up's and leaves for exotic Greece inspired by watching A Place In The Sun, for adventure, sun and sea. A welcome break from the pub as her boss wanted her to take a break after the shock break down of her marriage after they'd been together since they were teenagers.

Her best friend Hayley also suddenly arrives in Greece to stay with her and also falls in list after Matt. Meanwhile kindly hotel worker Costas takes a liking to Mandy especially after Mandy helps him and his father begin hotel renovations and she helps them set up a music festival, even when she returns home she carries on helping. Danny also see's sense and splits up with Slimming World Sarah, an old school acquaintance of Hayley and Mandy's but Mandy knows Greece is calling once again.

The chemistry between Danny and Mandy was dwindling from the start as the serial cheat got on with his own life without Mandy yet when she met Costas you can't help but root for the pair to get together for sure! A fun read with great maturity in Mandy dealing with a rubbish situation and I'm glad she got so much from her trip to Greece with helping out a festival beginning which is a first in any chick lit book I've picked up and I loved it the story line was perfect for this book!

Lost & Found Book 3: Sasha's Secret by Cathy Cassidy

Sasha feels pressured, at home her life isn't perfect as her parents argue a lot and there's always an air or tension around. At school, she gets to hang out with her friends and after of course too at band practise but she is trying to hide a huge secret, her absence see which remain undiagnosed through the first half of the book.

As Matt a wannabe news reporter comes along with the Lost & Found band as they head away to record their debut EP, she can't keep faking she's ok being around everyone 24/7 and soon enough Jake notices what's up...

With boy drama and figuring out her dreams for the future in this book Sasha has a lot to face.

I was surprised to discover absence seizures as I've never ever heard them mentioned before and especially in this book it was inspired by Cathy's daughter Cait and her struggle with the condition and it's especially great that's the reason they're included. I also loved the fact that The Chocolate Box series tied in to this new story with Jake being involved and didn't realise it was that Jake at first! Sasha was a genuine and great teen girl character dealing with a lot of issues in all aspects of her life which is super relatable, Matt was the perfect villain and I sussed the way the story would go and it was executed very well indeed!

I can't wait for the next instalment in this series now!

A Perfect Cornish Summer by Phillipa Ashley

Sam loves her costal home town and has done all the years living and get owing up there until her mum passed and Gabe her boyfriend at the time gave her brother in to the police. She had at to bring up her sister without their brother and still misses him.

Chloe is Sam's festival committee friend, mixed race and hiding a secret about not only her big age coming up but the fact she actually has a family but can she find her happy ever after in Porthmellow? As well as help her daughter be happy and reunited with her again as well as possibly meet her granddaughter too?

Gabe arrives from London now a famous chef to step in and help out at their food festival after their headline act is unable to fulfil his duties and so tensions rise between him and Sam as Chloe didn't know their history before asking him down to help out queue rising tensions, pulses and growing sparks flying!

As we read, we see from the characters split perspectives and what they have to face in the story. With drama in every chapter both personal and festival kinds the tensions between characters build up and mount until a dramatic turn of events in the last  third of the book. The setting was a Cornish dream and the festival meticulously planned and hard work well done just like in their lives they work hard to later play hard as they do eventually have a positive celebration alike I hope Phillipa will done for creating another cracking chick lit!

The Opposite Of You by Lou Morgan

Bex and Naomi are identical twins leading opposite lives, though Bed doesn't realise this, at first. Supposed to be having an important exam, Bex sits it to realise Naomi never turned up.

Bex soon takes it upon herself to unearth her sister's secrets and find her after her parents have reported her missing to the police and Bex meets a nice friend there, Josh who listens to her troubles and they commiserate their situations together.

Naomi however, has a backstage pass to a festival though plans soon go awry upon arrival and has her stuff stolen, yet she meets  a supposedly kind stranger, Max at the festival after having had her bag stolen and he gives her his and it's contents to survive off.

Bex and Naomi use their unique twin telepathy to let each other get snippets of the situations and when Naomi ends up in a bad place with a drug dealer alone in his ran down flat, it is up to Bex comes with the help of Josh and the police to find her before it's too late.

The key to the plot of the novel and the title, is that Naomi has struggled to find her own identity and her sense of self. She has a secret life of partying and dressing up and reinventing a new her all the time. Yet her sister is more down to earth as she knows she wants to be an artist, study hard and enjoy life as it flows.
We also learn of how secondary school really tore their identical twin bond as Naomi played tag along to Bex and her new best friend, Kay. Bex comes to realise as does Naomi that they are closer than they have felt in years and they can't break their unique bond and more importantly, they don't want to.

I thought it was a great unique book the way it looks into the twin bond and how each one can try to break apart but the bond in will never break and nor should it have to.

My Secret Rockstar Boyfriend by Eleanor Wood

This book was everything I've hoped it would be!

Set around the life of eighteen year old Tuesday, yes that's her name! We see her personal blog shared only with her boyfriend, her mum and best mates Nishi and Anna, accidentally attract the attention of the twenty three year old ex and now once again rock star, Jackson. We see how her and Jackson become closer by emailing back and forth before eventually arranging to meet up when Jackson plays his comeback gig at Glastonbury.

All the while this is going on however, Tuesday is supposed to be revising toward her English exam which is her last one to come for the end of her A-levels and the one that matters the most to her personally as she wants to be a writer, hence why she started up her blog in the first place. The exam is set to be the Monday after Glastonbury but will she make it back in time, or will Jackson keep her attention instead? Read the book to find out!

I really liked the character of Tuesday and found her to be very true to a typical modern day teenager and she really showed intuition in terms of how to keep things going your way even when a lot of bad stuff has happened. She also has very typical mixed feelings towards her mum and how she handles having boyfriends and husbands which influences Tuesday and how she portrays love in the novel though she sees her current boyfriend treats her terribly eventually.

If you enjoyed Zoella's Girl Online books, you will love this one which originally came out before Zoella's acclaimed series.
