The Dark Side of Love by SaDee Hodge
SaDee tells her story in brave detail of a relationship that seemed perfect at first.
Collateral Damage, was a great poem capturing how much love and physical pain/abuse can affect and harm you in a relationship and following it's break down too.
Plagiarized Identity Disorder, was a powerful poem to read and reflect on the character the man who hurt SaDee is/was and his behaviour.
The end of the book is a reclamation of self, a new version who's faced down the worst situation and still chooses to rise and keep going through life despite the highs and lows it has brought her SaDee raises awareness of violence in relationships and how things can sour rapidly.
A very brave but necessary true story to be told.
