Sick Kids In Love by Hannah Moskowitz

In this book we meet Ibby, used to hospitals as her dad's a doctor who spend all, his time at work while she also has to go get IVs for her rheumatoid arthritis every so often which is how she meets Sacha.

Sacha has Gauchers and the pair meet by chance during their separate infusions and the pair fall for each other over the rocky path the novel sets for them.

However as anyone with a chronic illness knows, health can fail you whenever randomly and can cause you to fear others judgement and make you feel uneasy, can the pair overcome their fears and doubts to stick together especially when an hospital emergency happens.

I loved this book, not just for raising awareness of kids and teens getting sick with chronic illnesses which is never repped in young adult fiction but the love story isn't straight forward especially as Ibby has mom issues with her disappearing from her life when she needed her and the females in het family being shockingly awful too!

If you want a book full of drama or relatable issues health wise or just a sweet love story, pick this book up you won't regret it!

Many thanks to the publisher for allowing me to review this book for them!

Spectacular Superstar Dork Diaries Book 14 by Rachel Renee Russell

Nikki and her friends and band are back and preparing to go on your with one of their favourite bands the Bad Boyz however first she has to ensure they get on the tour after her sister messes up the crucial call, make sure her frenemy MacKenzie can't sabotage them... again!

But will things go smoothly when MacKenzie appears at a crucial time ahead of the tour and will she cause mayhem for the band?

Every teen girl has a group they're a fan of so I'm sure this book will be fun and fabulous reading to most teens as a little drama occurs, granted not so much as in previous books the storyline of going on your with a favourite band provides enough excitement along the way to satisfy our reading and continuing Nikki's story.

I just can't wait for more from Nikki's diaries about her life!

An Owl Called Star by Helen Peters

In this book Jasmine and Tom plan a secret Halloween party in a deserted barn near Jasmine's family's farm. However when they find a barn owl injured there, they take the owl to her parents who among with them help to feed and nurse it back to health.

However with a secret Halloween party and looking after a friends hamster as well as the owl, will everything go to plan?

I enjoyed the uniqueness of this story as saving an owl would be a rare opportunity, also for showing the danger they can pose to other animals and creatures too. I liked the seriousness of the story but also the fun childlike aspect of planning a secret party it provides a good contrast showing how mature the duo are and aren't in their ways and quite relatable that way too!

Hotel Flamingo Carnival Capers Book 3 by Alex Milway

As carnival time approaches the hotel has to design and make a float to represent them and their unique hotel.

Meanwhile a skunk and his partner as well as a family of parrots arrive to stay which proves very unique and funny! As well as a demanding band and a homeless sheepdog who Anna takes in she discovers a secret part of the hotel too so it's all action ahead in this addition to the series so far!

This is my favourite book so far in the trio of novels with plenty of colourful characters and side storylines from the main carnival one too I was hooked and flew through the book Anna was a strong girl manager too facing tough situations at times too.

Cinders And Sparks Book 2 Fairies In The Forest by Lindsey Kelk

In this follow up we rejoin Cinders, her dog Sparks and Hansel as the continue on their journey to find Cinders fairy mother meanwhile Prince Joderick is suffering the company of Cinders step sisters and wants to get away and help instead!

However as they come across the three bears, have to use magic and beware of fairytale monsters on their journey creeping round too, can Cinders find her way to her mum at last?

I did think the book would flow faster and have more action to me this book just bridges the way to book three as it was literally all spent travelling following Cinders through the woods. Nonetheless I will still be eagerly awaiting the next book to find out what does happen next!

Dancing The Charleston by Jacqueline Wilson

In this book, Mona lives with her auntie who cares for her after her mum passed and so did her dad too when she was just a baby and he was in the war.

Her auntie is a seamstress for a lady and when the lady passes the pair worry they'll be made homeless.

Mr Benjamin the youngest son, moves in after his mum passed who's the kindest of all the Somerset's and likes Mona a lot even if he is very flamboyant with his tastes and company he keeps.

He does however turn Mona and her aunt's lives around as her aunty gets an amazing knew job for Harrod's!

However after Mona falls out with her friends after getting a trial to go to a proper high school giving her a better looking future, she befriends the Somerset children and they go on an adventure to London which a shock twist comes out there about Mona's mother everyone knew but her...

I really enjoyed this book, as someone who had a grandma who made theatre costumes I could relate to Mona's feelings about talented seamstresses and sympathise over how she felt her familial loses too being so young and we know how grief is at that age. Friendship can be fickle and that point came across well too overall this book was another great by the one and only Jacqueline Wilson.

Belly Up by Eva Darrows

In this book we meet Serendipity or Sara as she gets called mostly, after her ex Aaron broke her heart by getting another girl, she goes to a party and meets Jack, who she has drunk sex with this creating her a baby she later calls, Cass.

Thee book focuses on how Sara handles moving in with her grandma, making new friends at a new school, finding her baby daddy, her chosen new future and of course actually giving birth!

It was a realistic look at teen pregnancy and also the danger of reckless sex and the impact on your life one choice can make I enjoyed the language style of Sara being quite unique voiced as she came across humorous, sarcastic and just like a teenager does. The girl power of the family in this book is brilliant and some families I don't doubt are just like them and it made the book more joyous to read especially with Jack an his father's impact in the novel.

I can't recommend this enough, totally worth the hype it's been getting lately!

Baby Aliens Got My Teacher by Pamela Butchart

In the first in the Izzy series, we see how Izzy, Jodi and Zach befriend Maisie and they team up against their teacher as she acts so out of sorts they believe she's been taken over by aliens thanks to her new gifted teddy bear!

It was a short and hilarious story where even though you could see what was actually happening, it was amazing the way the children blew the situation up out of proportion!

Great Destinations Of A Lifetime by Claudia Martin

In this book packed with stunning photography my stand out faves were the blue lagoon, ice caves and northern luights in Iceland as well as...
