Break Your Glass Slipppers by Amanda Lovelace

This is an amazing thought provoking collection of poetry once again these poems are so relevant in today's society bringing Cinderella's story into modern day poetry talking of love and heartbreak between family, friends and with ourselves as we can hate not love so much about our bodies most of the time as it's easier.

A fabulous new collection of poetry making the classic tale of Cinderella a modern time relevant story through the poems.

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

Cinders And Sparks Book 2 Fairies In The Forest by Lindsey Kelk

In this follow up we rejoin Cinders, her dog Sparks and Hansel as the continue on their journey to find Cinders fairy mother meanwhile Prince Joderick is suffering the company of Cinders step sisters and wants to get away and help instead!

However as they come across the three bears, have to use magic and beware of fairytale monsters on their journey creeping round too, can Cinders find her way to her mum at last?

I did think the book would flow faster and have more action to me this book just bridges the way to book three as it was literally all spent travelling following Cinders through the woods. Nonetheless I will still be eagerly awaiting the next book to find out what does happen next!

Cinders And Sparks: Magic At Midnight Book 1 by Lindsey Kelk

In this reimagined version of Cinderella we meet Cinders and her loyal dog Sparks as they live with her palace designer dad, step mum and step sisters whom still the latter detest her and give her all the household chores.

However as Cinders makes it to the ball thanks to her fairy godmother Brian showing Cinders she can perform magic, its there she meets Joderick, a young prince looking to marry...

Though, Cinders doesn't know the royals believe fairies to be dangerous and unkind to them and set about trying to keep them away and end them!

As Cinders battles with her mind over what to do to save the fairies and keep the royals happy, she can't hide the fact she can perform magic and soon trouble happens in the castle as she gets sent away she finds herself searching for help, her fairy godmother and a cast of other fairy tale characters may be able to help her, if she finds them...

Cinders in this book has been touched with a modern edge that works, it's fun and fascinating to get lost in such an enchanting tale and is left open for a book two set to have more adventure within for us!

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

Geekerella by Ashley Poston

This book was kindly sent to me for review by the publishers and its a great geeky read to enjoy!

A modern day retelling of Cinderella mixed in with a Comic Con style event is the center of this novel.

Elle's life is ruled by her stepmum, Catherine whom is a wedding planner and thinks highly of herself. She blames poor Elle for her father's not buying them a bigger house, earning and leaving them with more, more, more and poor Elle has to put up with it.
Although, she has her escapism in the forms of Sci-Fi she adores to indulge in to escape her life.

We also experience the flip side of things, life in the form of the actor new to her favourite show, Darien and the life he leads and how he unexpectedly meets Elle.

I don't want to spoil it but I loved how the two met up and Elle recreating her outfit for her how she did and all the work it took and learning from YouTube was very real!

I really loved all the modern references in the book to running blogs, using social media etc as obviously the classic tale of Cinderella would have no idea of any technology let alone the concept of it!
