When Matt and his friend Jake go on a hiking trip, they soon get into trouble when their enemy Lee comes along, Lee just might show he's not that bad, but will Jake survive?
A quick read book, all about the dangers of being around water and messing about making dates too this book took a quick sinister turn which made this a fast paced addictive read.

Different Like Us! By Margaret Rooke
Wow what an amazing book this was extremely special as the children share such stories that show their strength and resilience at having some serious disabilities but seeing them as an extension of their personality they just get own with as another part of them, fully embracing them as part their unique character.
This is the kind of book I wish growing up as a child of the 2000's we'd had, but feel so happy it is a book available now we chat way more openly about disabilities these days. I know many friends and myself living with rare and unheard of conditions that will stay with us for life who could've related to this book extremely so growing up.
The maturity the children's own quotes show them to have is a great addition littered throughout the book and their stories too showing their strength of character not letting their conditions define them in any way.

Meet Me At Pebble Beach Part 2 In Too Deep by Bella Osborne
Carrying on from part one we see how Regan reacts to the news that Charlie shockingly dropped at the end of part one which was a shock.
As she and him set out on a relationship of sorts, he helps Regan discover what she wants to do next with her life and career leading to her getting a job she likes as a stop gap until she gets her feet in the ground and opens her own market stall!
Can taking chances guide her in work and love?
I can't wait for the next part once again Bella is a world wizard and I'm also intrigued into Cleo coming back from her work trip and reacting to everything that's changed for Regan too this story so far has me hooked and rooting for Charlie and Regan to work out and enjoy their happiness no matter how short lives of could be!
Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

The Misadventures Of Max Crumbly: Middle School Mayhem by Rachel Renee Russell
We pick up the story of this book, the second in the new Max series where he had just interrupted the burglars, by landing on their pizza orders!
As Max tries to find his dad's precious comic book worth a lot of money whilst trying to escape unscathed from the burglars as they try to steal the school computers still.
Working on the phone with limited time to talk and fulfill their plan, Erin assists Max by using the school camera's to keep an eye on the action going down. Only when Erin get caught online by her parents she leaves Max alone to save himself from the crooks, but can he do so alone?
Another cliffhanger ending to another brilliant instalment in Max's life so far and I can't wait for more. The drawings are great as usual, the plot kept me guessing and the shocks kept coming!

Lucky Dogs by Cody Clark
Juliet and Ruby are best dog friends so when Wiley arrives new in Dogwood he hopes to make friends with the residents in Dogwood but will they all accept him?
A great little book to show children how to be compassionate and accepting of others as well as showing some great artwork of the dog characters too which will bring the story to life for the readers.
Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review this book for them!

Cream Buns and Crime by Robin Stevens
This book is full of Daisy and Hazel's tips to sleuthing and Crime solving as well as recommendations for other murder mystery books, inspiring detectives and short mini mysteries which they've solved in the past from their first mystery to their friends at the boy's school whom are also detectives.
It's a great book to begin with reading to get into the series I feel and makes more sense to introduce you to Hazel and Daisy's detective world more so than being a late comer to the series. However I do prefer full length mysteries much more and can't wait for the next one but this did have mini stories in it to give you a taster of the series if you've never picked it one of them up before!
