Mum Never Did Learn To Knock by Cathy Hopkins

After her mum passes away, Emily has been left devastated but able to see and communicate with her mum despite her being gone.

However, her dad sends her to a councillor who doesn't understand but she and Mark become a couple and he supports her through it all unquestioned.
