Tom is friends with Derek and likes Amy who he tries to impress and dislikes Marcus who he doesn't get along with.
We learn how Tom is in a new band, had a disastrous holiday camping, has a bad school picture day, like to make fun of his sister Delia and a concert for his favourite band goes awry as well as an hilarious parents evening especially the part about a certain hobby he's written about his parents had no idea about!
I really enjoyed this book and the diary/drawing style it's in after loving the Dork Diaries series I'm glad I picked this one to read next too with the everyday relatable things like school and annoying sisters to random drama that's unthinkable happening it kept me entertained the whole way through!
