Finding Beauty by SaDee Hodge

This fourth collection of poetry by SaDee is as powerful in telling her journey of facing abuse and the previous loss of her beloved husband before too. Some stand out poems of this collection to me were: Caught Between Forever and Goodbye, knowing you had to save yourself from a situation endangering your life. The Day My Heart Overdosed, how suicide impacts your life. Home For The Broken, helping others who are or have been struggling even when you are too. Feelings Gross, was a clever poem reflecting on negative love what could be beautiful in a slow burn but preferring distance and safety. The Things I've Learned, too was a strong poem about what love should be and isn't. Only knowing love to hurt, brutal and honest in love, loss and life and every time I read SaDee's writing I am struck by how she writes with such beauty in being poetic and honest even on such tough subjects, another brilliant collection.
