Dancing The Charleston by Jacqueline Wilson

In this book, Mona lives with her auntie who cares for her after her mum passed and so did her dad too when she was just a baby and he was in the war.

Her auntie is a seamstress for a lady and when the lady passes the pair worry they'll be made homeless.

Mr Benjamin the youngest son, moves in after his mum passed who's the kindest of all the Somerset's and likes Mona a lot even if he is very flamboyant with his tastes and company he keeps.

He does however turn Mona and her aunt's lives around as her aunty gets an amazing knew job for Harrod's!

However after Mona falls out with her friends after getting a trial to go to a proper high school giving her a better looking future, she befriends the Somerset children and they go on an adventure to London which a shock twist comes out there about Mona's mother everyone knew but her...

I really enjoyed this book, as someone who had a grandma who made theatre costumes I could relate to Mona's feelings about talented seamstresses and sympathise over how she felt her familial loses too being so young and we know how grief is at that age. Friendship can be fickle and that point came across well too overall this book was another great by the one and only Jacqueline Wilson.

Mouthy by Megan McKenna

In this book Megan talks openly about her life growing up from her singing dreams, beloved grandad and more in an honest and open look into her life.

I loved hearing her passion for music and performing from an early age and the truth about TV drama she was involved in. It was a witty and real life talk book and I loved it!

Eyes On Me by Rachel Harris

Lily is forced by her dad to take time off school work on Saturdays and get a hobby, ballroom dancing.

So when she falls and lands in Stone, a popular guy in schools arms she feels shocked let alone when she discovers revolution dance studio is owned by his mum!

However Lily lost her mum to cancer and her hobby and dream was dance meanwhile Stone's sister recovered from cancer.

As school events and friendship with his sister Angela pushed Lily and Stone together, the pair can't deny their dance chemistry is more than just in dance and as Stone's ex Cameron tries to get him back can he realize his feelings in time...

Meanwhile, Revolutions money worries also get a reprieve as a dance showcase is held and Stones guilt about Lilys dad's money comes to light just how will Lily react?

A passion filled romance between two unlikely people alongside dance and a hidden secret.... This book keeps us guessing at what will happen next to the young couple while the characters are opposites but each perfect in their own crazy way, it was moving with the by storyline of cancer effecting both of their lives and giving them a deeper bond as they understand how it feels. I highly recommend this book of you have an interest in any of the above features of the storyline!

Amelia Fang and The Barbaric Ball by Laura Ellen Anderson

Set in Nocturnia, Amelia and the rest of the Fang family are preparing to host the latest Barbaric ball the only annual event in Nocturnal only this time, the king and prince are attending too.

Ahead of time Amelia has to show the prince around her school where he acts very stuffily towards them all and when he has dinner with the whole family pre barbaric ball, he acts entitled and ends up taking Amelia's Squashy, her friend!

Amelia sets off determined to retrieve Squashy away from the awful prince but can she and will she succeeded and what is wrong with the prince to make him so awful?

The book was wonderful, I hated the prince as you should and loved Amelia and her spooky friend. May I say the language and phrases in the book were genius for example a diephone and Great British Carve off for example made me laugh. The drawings were great too with a lot of detail for each character with elaborate costumes for the cast of the book. The deep issue in the book a round friends and parents worked nicely in the last half of the book when Amelia figures things out as the plot develops on and was actually a great twist as well as truthful in how we act to people as we develop relationships.

Jessica Darling's It List 3: Totally Not Guaranteed Guide by Megan McCafferty

At school there's also petitions set up by Sara and Manda as they both fight to get the school dance back by trying to outdo each other on the amounts of signatures they can get. Leaving Jess and Hope to sign one friends each to make it fair.

Then comes a the announcement by the school that they'll be having... a square dance and not the disco/prom/sophisticated dance anyone dreams of having. The school makes them parted up boy and girl landing Jess in another situation with Scott yet again!

As Jess faces dancing with Scott and facing the consequences later, she is suddenly saved. By being kicked out of their square dance group! Will she be able to attend and fins out how Marcus truly feels about her?

A fun read full of the joy's of teenage life in school.

Wounded Dance by Deanna Roy

When Denham Young rocks up back in town, Livia can't believe it. Fifteen year old her had gotten pregnant by him when he lived with her family and was supposedly her half brother. She had to give up her young daughter as her parents shunned her into a quiet life, until Blitz Craven danced into her world and heart as in the previous first book, Forbidden Dance.

As this book is the second in the lovers dance series of standalones, I am beyond excited for this journey to play out.

It didn't disappoint and took me just over an hour and a half to finish!

Denham Young doesn't give up in practically stalking Livia and waits outside her dance studio in his truck getting evermore persistent to wanting access to his daughter even when he finds out she was adopted. We learn how Livia and him got caught up in teenage lust and passion and got carried away until Denham was sent away and his life revolved around jail sentences since. Continuing to insist he's a changed man, eventually Blitz and Livia have had enough, a restraining order hasn't deterred his persistence and so they bail him out of jail and offer to make contact with their daughter despite Livia already knowing her, just not as a mother. However, Denham shows careless and tactless he truly can be and Livia finds herself stunned at his reaction.

You in won't forget this ending in a hurry!

Deanna has done another smashing job with this book, I truly love this set so far and the passion between Blitz and Livia as well as their nature's fit so well I feel compelled and addicted to read all of these books as they're just so well written and detailed I really appreciate the author allowing me this arc copy to review and will rave about these books and the author till everyone I know reads them!
