Christmas At Rachel's Pudding Pantry by Caroline Roberts

Rachel, mum Jill, granny Ruth and daughter Maisie are back in a Christmas adventure in their pudding pantry.

As they begin a pudding club which builds in success, Rachel finds herself too busy to see Tom while she discovers her ex has a new girlfriend in tow when he decides to make a rare visit to see Maisie while she discovers Tom's ex is also back, but why?

As the joy of Christmas arrives, hard work and heavy snowfall threaten to make this Christmas a tough time, can Rachel find herself having a good Christmas and spending time with Tom at last too or will plans to awry?

I loved that characters from Caroline's other books made an appearance too while there was a snowdog line which won me over being a huge The snowman fan! The cast of characters really made the pudding club come to life and the time of each character shone through it was a fabulous easy Christmas read with plenty of drama to keep you hooked on reading more I just can't wait for the next one now after that final chapter too!

The Cornish Cream Tea Bus by Cressida McLaughlin

After losing her uncle Hal, he leaves Charlie his beloved bus, Gertie.

After breaking up with her boyfriend Stuart and her beloved uncle, her best friend Juliette comes back from Cornwall where she lives and alongside Charlie's dad and boss try to get her to take a break and have a holiday as she throws herself instantly  into making Gertie a success and have her uncle Hal be proud of her for keeping the bus going now he's gone.

After a first disaster, she and her dog Marmite end up in Portgollow where Juliette lives. The area is a bit ran down and in need of revival, however there's the matter of Crystal Waters, a high end spa ran by Daniel.

Not everyone is welcoming to Charlie, Marmite and Gertie but can they change their minds?

Charlie and Marmite her yorkiepoo are setting up the Portgollow food festival to help raise the areas profile and make their businesses a success as she runs her Cornish Cream Tea Bus.

As she reunites with Oliver from The Marauding Mojito, Daniel invites her to the spa after her opens up about helping and failing to give her friend a job.

So on enough she has a choice to make and to address her feelings, safe Oliver but sexy and risky choice Daniel, who'll she realise her feelings for?

Charlie has to confront her true feelings for Oliver and Daniel especially when it seems one might have a wandering eye and not been honest with her alike she with them but only worse...

We also see how she plans to tour her bus around now and begins to trial her plans too!

In the final part of Charlie's story, we see how she discovers who sabotaged her bus stopping her trading which was of no surprise to me who'd done it, the clues are there all along...

However the whole village comes together to make it better including with regular food festival's!

But will she and Daniel finally sort out their feelings?

I have truly loved this book. Once again Cressida has written a remarkable story with characters that I wish really existed as this bus sounds amazing and I would love to support it!
I love the idea of keeping and using a vintage bus as a cafe it's absolute genius and I wish it existed. Even early on the chemistry is building between her and Daniel and the Cornish village life looks set to get vibrant, I was hooked on this book Cressida just keeps writing thrilling entrancing books you need to read!

Rachel's Pudding Pantry by Caroline Roberts

Rachel works on the farm with her mum Jill, a great baker, her young five year old daughter Maisy, farm hand Simon and her dog Moss. Food is at the heart of this novel as they all enjoy Jill's cooking everyday sampling her delights.

Since her father's sudden death two years ago she took over the bulk of the work while they tried to recover and carry on despite the farm's struggle to make any money.

Trying to fix that, Rachel thinks selling her mum's puddings locally and on site will help boost their income after some investment to help set up a better life for them and Maisie's future when she inherits the farm one day too.

Along with Eve her crafty best friend as she can create amazing crafts and her daughter Amelia being Maisie's best friend, the girls help each others business ventures take off.

But as the novel goes on we see how flaky dad Jake flits in and out getting Maisie's hope up of being around more to spend time with her and angering Rachel and her family treating them this way.

As well as all that, farmer next door Tom and Rachel finally face the spark between then only to find out a past secret about Rachel's father might put out that spark for good...

This book is all for girl team family power, really positive making the girls run their own new business and try to save their livelihood whilst Tom was a fun guy who shows evident care about them all from the first encounter we read. I also like that Tom doesn't break up the girl power and encourages them unlike flaky Jake whom shows how unreliable some parents can be! It was a sweet treat of a read and is best read with a cake and a cuppa in hand under the sun, you certainly won't regret it!

Probably The Best Kiss In The World by Pernille Hughes

Jen loves her home brewery whilst by day she helps to sell incontinence pads which are eco-friendly and the company is ran by her future sister in law's.

When her sister Lydia suggests she will have FOMO Jen waves it off as she and fiancé Robert stick to certain days for dates so they know what to expect. It's their routine and spontaneity doesn't exist.

Lydia her sister has a prosthetic leg after being in the accident which killed their parents and left Jen to be her form of mother in place of the loss of theirs.

Jen however gets engaged to Rupert and before she knows what's happening is whisked away to Copenhagen on her hen party with her sister and best friends by her side and she literally falls for Yakob.

Yakob also appreciates beer as Jen tells him all about her being a local award winner at home with her craft beer and how she loves making it, he encourages her unlike so called love Rupert who doesn't!

As the book goes on we hope Jen finally breaks it off with Rupert as his family smothers her in the future and tries to get her to stop brewing unlike Yakob whom her friends and sister repeatedly try to show her how much better off she is with him around, for one she's not glued to her planning on her phone all the time after they meet!

Throughout the book we see how the girls relationship is pressured by the fact that Jen always tries to keep her away from danger and doesn't always take into account the fact that Lydia has grown up and is independent even sneaking off to partake in adrenaline junkie sports events which get news articles written about her! Which makes more drama in the novel, it was also refreshing and overdue to have a character with a disability like Lyidi has being without her leg as I can't recall ever reading about a character with that before.

Hilarious and serious this is a beer friendly read as we see Jen develop and grow with the help of her friends and family as the story goes on. It was as Jen would say, Beerilliant!

The Words That Fly Between Us by Sarah Carroll

Living with her investor stressed dad and her mum, Lucy doesn't like to be around her dad when he's in a mood and he is often, causing verbal and emotional pain on his wife and daughter.

Her best friend Megan also gets put downs from her so called friend Hazel whom makes sly comments and digs at Megan's body and about her growing blog too. Despite Lucy's efforts she can't stop her best friend being effected by Hazel...

However as an aspiring artist despite what her dad says, Lucy has a generous heart and soon gets to know the mysterious artist next door after leaving her a gift anonymously and being left a gift back in return.

The main theme in this novel is about speaking out about abuse and it's never right to have to put up with especially at home. We see how the family changes due to stress about money from her dad. We also see how it's important to follow your heart and never giving up on passions and dreams. It was a really great novel in the way we can imagine being in Lucy's shoes and having to face so many issues alone.

Eyes On Me by Rachel Harris

A passion filled romance between two unlikely people alongside dance and a hidden secret.... This book keeps us guessing at what will happen next to the young couple while the characters are opposites but each perfect in their own crazy way, it was moving with the by storyline of cancer effecting both of their lives and giving them a deeper bond as they understand how it feels. I highly recommend this book of you have an interest in any of the above features of the storyline!

The Polka Dot Shop by Laurel Remmington

This book is about vintage clothes and the joys of used and unused but quality clothing as we soon see...

Andy hates her mum's shop with a passion as she is forced to wear second hand unfashionable clothing her mum brings home for her. Wanting desperately to buy her own new quality clothes, she just may get her wish when she unearths a bag full of designer clothing when helping out in her mum's shop...

As she befriends next doors cute boy, the pair set about transforming her mum's shop whilst she goes on holiday to save the business and turn it into a prosperous and hip shop from the dud rubbish shop Andy thinks it is.

The book features issues from transgender to disability, depression and family troubles as well as showing how businesses can be turned around into prosperous prospects once again. We see how bright young teens can be and how dedication to an idea can really pay off especially for the future and change a life!

It was a fun story and extremely likable Andy was great and following the journey of the transformation was super!

A Summer Scandal by Kat French

Violet inherits a pier located at Swallow Beach thanks to her Grandpa where she meets Calvin her new neighbour, as she reopens the newly designed pier for adults with partisan shops.

Violet's mum reveals secrets to her about her grandma she didn't know and the events which took place at Swallow Beach and why they originally moved away.

Violet upped and left the safety net of a husband to hopefully be though he was darn keener than her and she stuck up for herself wanting to spend summer in Swallow Beach instead. Where she meets Cal, a new love interest her flat is neighbour to and he's a leatherworker like she's a costume maker. The only trouble is his mum whom is mayoress and wants to see the pier remain shut.

Violet makes friends with Barry and his granddaughter Keris, whom remember her grandmother. However as she discovers her grandmother's affair with T, she sets about discovering who T is just as Calvin's wife Ursula randomly shows up after years of being gone...

I love the mystery and rediscovering her family past, I especially loved the fact that the flat she moves into is a frozen in time historical haven making her closer to her now gone grandparents too. The love blossomed and the character of Calvin's mum loved to be outlandish assuming the pier was becoming a sex den/hide out. Violet is a vibrant character all round and comes so well with all the events which happen to her a true headstrong main protagonist. Kat writes great beach reads which never disappoint and I also love the vibrancy of the cover alive with summer sunset colours.

Truly Madly Awkward by Beth Garrod

Bella is back! Along with Tegan and Rach of course as the girls are excited about a competition to win their favourite band The Helicans to come and play a concert at their school. However, there's many stages and other schools to compete against as the radio station prolongs the process over a number of rounds per week.

Fit Adam and Bella go on a date that turns out to be just a friend date, much to Bella's disappointment, naturally.

Meanwhile Tegan is acting strangely with more and more gymnastics practise along with a strange Jaden Smith lookalike hanging around her a lot too...

As well as the boy drama, concert excite in their school goes crazy as Bella becomes a mini celeb all the students are rooting for and their headmistress too as she wins their way through the rounds of the competition by luck and effort alone. Bella also has to deal with her mother launching her new dog ice cream shop, Give A Dog A Cone! Let alone a new lodger taking up residence in their home in the form of, Shay a so called high flying TV producer.

There's tons of drama from Bella's ex Luke or Puke as she prefers to call him! As he's now dating so called model Ska, but there's more than meets the eye with the shifty pair.

As per usual, Bella promises hilarity and a side stitch from laughing so much as you read!

This is a super fun book and the second part in Bella's series so far and I totally can't wait for more as Bella and Adam may finally get to where they both secretly want them to be at!

The Big Dreams Beach Hotel by Lilly Bartlett

Rosie works in a hotel where she has just celebrated three years at, however her boss has shocked them all by selling the hotel and so in transition, Rory is sent in as the hotel company from the US makes staff, restaurant and building changes.

Rosie left the USA after an experience with Chuck as she began an intense relationship with him whilst she had just planned his companies work Christmas Party. But then it effects her relationship with Digby as she would sacrifice anything for love and Chuck despite what a user he turns out to be, a Tiffany necklace broke their relationship, along with lies and Rosie was heartbroken but better off without him!

But now in Scarborough, Rory and her are getting close while she fights off the feelings reminding her of her failed relationship, can she make this work between them as he will be leaving in the coming months?

I enjoyed reading this book, even if I did think it was longer and more drawn out but I did enjoy the split past/present split narrative as we died find out all about Chuck and their past not just her life now with the odd sentence thrown in. Lilly is a new author to me and she's definitely one to watch out for new books from in the future!

Grace Not Perfection by Emily Ley

Emily is a very busy woman, life with juggling kids, work and of course her husband and friends means time is precious for other activities as the circus of life takes place.

This book is all about enjoying what you do and approaching it your way no matter about achieving perfection but facing it with grace and your style taking matters into your own hands. However, it is also okay when you need to take a break as Emily learned by causing herself a serious health scare, nothing is worth breaking yourself for as without you imagine what the world would be like. Realise your worth and importance and accept that rest can be best and other times sure work is crucial but just make sure you enjoy it and if not manifest it into that.

The main aims of Emily's book is to allow us to realise what we need and don't need, appreciate everything we have whether it's big or small, enjoy life but don't allow it to take over and cause you unnecessary stress and most of all, face everything with Grace, perfection is overrated and you have your own perfection within you, trust yourself!

Playlist For A Broken Heart by Cathy Cassidy

Used to the rich life of private school and mansion home in Richmond, London, nothing prepares Paige for just what is about to happen to her life.

She finds herself out of the play she desperately wanted to star in, playing Juliet opposite her Romeo, Alex and instead moving to Bath to live with her mum, dad, aunt, uncle and their three young sons, Tasmin their daughter whom she finds herself sharing a room with and their cat and dog.

When her aunt buys her a CD from a charity shop she's intrigued, the bands are local and their songs are summing up her life right now perfectly. She plans along with cousin Tasmin and her best friend, Clover, to track down the mystery boy who made this mix and resolve the case of who made the CD that knows her so well.

Of course, in the story her best friend from back in Richmond Allegra visits along with Alex and they come for the music festival happening and too see the flat that eventually her family moves into and makes their new home whilst her mum works in a school office with her sister and her dad sets up his new business. This book was a great fast read and perfectly makes you believe that love can bloom out of any situation no matter how bad things seem. I loved the mystery and how well the girls jelled overall by the end of the book, they truly needed each other family and friendship wise and the final conclusion to whom exactly the mystery boy is was great too and made me feel like Paige was going to be with the guy for a long time.
