Only Love Can Break Your Heart by Katherine Webber

Reiko has suffered a huge loss years ago when her sister Mika died. Since then she has been haunted by what her sister missed out on and strives to achieve the best she can to do so in her honour as she never got to achieve such things as Homecoming queen etc.

So when she gets talking to Seth an outsider from the popular group she hang round in normally, she feels like she must keep him a secret but she treats him harshly to hide him away from her glossy popular life until he has enough and soon enough as they make it official, Seth changes...

Luckily, Reiko has her best friend Dre by her side constantly supporting her in the book and former friend Libby too before she changed and betrayed her in a way.

I didn't enjoy the way the book went, Seth took control after using Reiko for popularity while he came across as so caring for her but did highlight how people can use and dump you. I would've preferred to see Reiko end the book on a happier note where as I feel like the story was unfinished in many ways as there could be more to do with the friendship dynamic to play out as well too.

Happy Mum Happy Baby by Giovanna Fletcher

In this book Giovanna fletcher talks openly about her experience before being pregnant, during and the aftermath too. She tackles taboo topics such as breast feeding, getting sleep, potty training, struggles working and travelling etc...

As a huge music and book fan I grew up on McFlys music and then Giovanna's books so when I bought this book I was intrigued into life with a baby especially if you're an author or musician especially being so busy.

This book was an honest and eye opening look into motherhood that dispels taboo topics and asks questions and answers them too that I hadn't ever thought about to do with pregnancy and beyond.

Full of family moments, sweet developments in her children's lives and her loving approach to life this book is the book every to be mother should read to prepare for what's to come!

Wake Up! by Chris Barez-Brown

All about embracing living in the now, this book presents fifty four ways to help you achieve just that.

The book talks of doing the normal day to day life stuff without you realizing, stuck doing bthe same everyday without a break or difference you soon become tuned to autopilot mode.

We lose awareness of who we are and the importance of what we love becomes hindered and buried under life admin, we need to learn and asses our growth with creativity and once we find our positive mindset and relax, we can allow change and growth to happen to us.

There's also creative pages to draw and scribble on as well as we are encouraged to take it around with us to reconnect with life at times when we either feel pressured or alone etc.

More points made in the book are about the topics of;
Spontaneity, rest and exercise, draw and plan, make time for family and friends as well as enjoy every moment!

This book is a great little creative book and is reminiscent of a more adult focused Wreck This Journal.

Many thanks to the publishers for allowing me to review it!
