As a gardener and landscape designer, the author's home featured is absolutely beautiful, rich in colours and history. This book includes many tips from how to design your dream garden to which plants to use and flowers to grow the book has tips about how to nurture soil, weed keeping, selecting ornaments for areas as well as tips for year round keep.

The book shows that any small space can be transformed into a flourished area to bring joy to everyone who come across it and will be a great help working on a new area design and is a guaranteed bible on recreating a plain area into a tranquil or vibrant area to enjoy!

Fashion Design Workshop Remix by Stephanie Corfee

This is a great book to learn to draw people, fashion and how to design items too. Moving with more body positive times, we get tips to help draw figures in wheelchairs or with crutches as well as able bodied people too of a range of sizes true to life.

There's tips and a quiz to help find your style, multiple ways to colour/create your illustrations such as mettallics, white pen on black card, watercolours etc and how to adapt outfits to be smart/casual or suitable for certain events with figure templates to help you get started and help/tips on how to create a fashion collection of your own to draw and inspire you using an item or colour palette etc.

This is the best book I've ever read about art, design and drawing by far if you want a career in fashion this would be a great basis to start from!

Buttercream Flowers For All Seasons by Valerie Valeriano and Christina Ong

This beautifully laid out book showcases the best of cake decorating with natural and real looking flowers ranging across a spectrum from fake sugar made Rose's to Dahlia's and even little leaf detailing and more.

Filled with tips on how to get the perfect shape flowers with step by step sentences accompanied by beautiful photographs of the author's work on their cake's which are marvelous creations.

The book is also filled with tips on how to get the perfect colour of icing and the best essential tools to try your hand at cake decorating too as well as a guide to baking and icing your cake too of course!

The girls truly captured their artistry within this book and is a kitchen essential for any keen baker or crafter in my opinion.

Room Love by Heather Wutschke

This book is beautifully put together and features a cute colour spectrum of white, pink and sky blue colours as it's main palette as well as using an array of graphics to help images and text stand out.

The layout is clear to read the steps on plain white background with black type telling us our supplies and then the project photos are backed onto funky designs instead to draw us in to looking at the examples to follow.

I studied textiles in school and this book reminds me of projects we found in books then only in here, they show and tell you clearer steps, there is an example mood board to follow as well. It features easy DIY's for things such as, make-up holders, sunglasses organizers, earring holders, mirror and wardrobe up cycling, curtain ideas and more!

The book features a DIY for everything you may ever need in your bedroom and is perfect if you like crafts and Youtube or Pinterest projects. If you are in a plain room or just need to change things up,  need a gift for someone crafty or a teen this is the book you need!

This book includes many different cross stitch charts from ones with pets, fantasy creatures, food, hobbies and quotes.

Each with easy to follow colour coded charts you can create your own cute little designs, with an array of colour and time!

Perfect for even beginner's this is a book anyone can create from.

Happy Mail by Eunice Moyle, Sabrina Moyle and Alex Bronstad

This book is a work of art, beautiful illustrations and plenty of tips and guides to have a go at creating your very own gorgeous handwritten happy mail!

Full of bright pastel colours popping against a pure write background to add colour the a page of text, images of letter designs are clear and simple with the guides for how to achieve them yourself.
There are loads of letter/card/envelope designs you can copy and print off yourself to use as well as colour in cards you could colour for someone or send plain to give them some fun too.

I'm going to get plenty of use from this book, there's something amazing about sending a letter the classic way not just an email!

Love, Lies and Lemon Pies by Katy Cannon

In this super sweet teen contemporary, baking brings a cast of characters together from grief feeling Lottie after losing her dad a year ago and the anniversary is coming up whilst she's still withdrawn at school she also has to cope with her mum being a secret hoarder as she fills their home with stuff she feels needs love it else her mum hides away in her room.

Meanwhile as she joins bake club to keep the school teachers happy she meets bad boy Will Mac whom she strikes up an unlikely friendship with over her natural baking talent she already has and they find a friendship of sorts with each other and the four other members of bake club too.

As the group bonds over baking weekly and more together as they set their sights on an upcoming TV competition and a fight for an apprenticeship at a local bakery, the pair's all encounter more drama as Lottie tries to keep her secrets hidden despite the friends sharing more and more, will the group all break up being friends and will Mac stay with Lottie?

It was a sweet read. I really enjoyed the dynamic between the bad guy and the good girl and how they actually worked as a couple and have each other more than they were previously getting out of life. Everyone found friendship in bake club and allowed them something to enjoy other than exam worry. The writing was engaging and the fun endless as well as giving us recipes to try out too!

Ten Step Drawing Flowers by Mary Woodin

In this book we discover tips and tricks to drawing flowers which may seem hard, but are broken down into small manageable parts to deal with slowly.

Building up our flowers of choice to draw, we can develop and adapt out skills with the help of the pictures diagrams and examples provided which allow a good visual aid to us beginning to try and perfect out flower drawing skills.

It was handy and a good guide to get me drawing flowers way better than I have ever done so! I appreciate the guide drawings and it was laid out beautifully and easy to follow.

Baking With Kim-Joy by Kim-Joy

In this beautiful baking book Kim shows us some amazing creations of which my favourite is an Easter cake featuring a rabbit theme in pastel colours.

With easy to follow instructions and lists of ingredients we can get hold of easily to make each cake to bake too.

It's a delightful uplifting and inspiring fun read with beautiful bakes and photographs of each marvellous creation she has created!

I Am Definitely Probably Enough by Tori Press

In this quick mini book, Tori packs in her story of life with depression, anxiety and struggling with her so called imperfections which really, make us all unique and different in our own way!

We see how Tori's self love journey has been for her as she went through therapy with lovely hand drawn illustrations and simple but effective captions too.

Isadora Moon Goes Camping by Harriet Muncaster

Isadora in school recalls when she and her family went camping and what an eventful time it was with her fairy mum and vampire dad, pink rabbit and baby Honeyblossom.

From losing her dad's precious comb, flying at night and meeting a mermaid princess it may seem farfetched but is a delightful uplifting story.

I love this series so much Pink Rabbit and Isadora are a fab duo of friends and seeing the family go on a normal holiday despite them being not so normal and how their magical ways can interfere make a me wish magic existed as well as mermaids too!

The Misadventures Of Max Crumbly: Locker Hero by Rachel Renee Russell

Max is a new student starting middle school after years of home schooling and is afraid of Doug, or Thug as he nicknames him as Doug is a bully and treats Max terribly. Max gets embarrassed in front of his crush Erin by falling over thanks to Doug as he recalls to us in his book as he's trapped in his locker and Erin rescues him as she walks by only he later ends up trapped once again by Doug just in time for the weekend!

My favourite scene from the book was the dancing janitor while poor Max was trapped inside his locker! Max then proceeds to break out of his locker and stumbles on a burglary taking place in the school!

From pizza obsessed burglars, stealing girls clothes and bum dialling his crush during the burglarly, Max is a force to be reconed with.

Dork Diaries character Brandon appears in the book as he is Max's only friend and they volunteer together at the pet shelter.

Alike Nikki in Dork Diaries, Brandon has a victory dance for good news like Nikki's Snoopy happy dance.

I loved the ironic twist to the book title being Locker Hero as at first hes a zero trapped in his locker then a superhero saving the school hopefully from burglary.

I can't wait for the next book as it ends on a nail biting cliffhanger!

Salted Caramel Dreams by Jackie Nastri Bardenwerper

Jasmine and her best friend Kiera used to dream of opening an Etsy shop selling their unique designs together.

However as Kiara gets into basketball and begins to hang out with new friends then disses Jasmine, she decides her friendship is lost and when her mum pushes her to join drama club, she meets Courtney, Ava and Joseph. They soon become friends while her and Kiera drift until a need for new costumes arises and offers the girls a chance to reunite and share big news...

I liked the design passion and the clever link to her new friends being they too liked the same drink from the title which the girls had added and invented for the menu which they didn't know about.

All about friendship perils and perks a realistic teen story about going separate ways.

Paper Hearts and Summer Kisses by Carole Matthews

Christie is in her forties with a teen son, Finn and a divorce in her past as well as a career as a PA for a law firm which doesn't excite her like her passion for crafting does as she loves nothing better than her crafty TV channel and getting her hands going making many cards etc.

When she replies or rather her mum does on her behalf to an add for a future collaboration with an American craft company of which she would love to work for she never expects a reply or for what entails next!

However as her son becomes increasingly unwell with a permanent headache and collapsing which seems obviously a serious issue she doesn't get there for a diagnosis quickly as she wished and soon the worst is confirmed and torn between her son, love and work she feels pulled in many directions before the world helps her figure it out...

This book makes you appreciate family and those you love as well as bringing awareness of health issues and the importance of persistence! Follow your dreams and you never know where it may lead this left me feeling full of hope and positivity as well as wanting to get crafting again!

Catdoodles by Akiko Masuda

This book is beautiful, with many types of cats drawn and tips on how to create them yourself too.
Each page is full of colourful cats which all vary showing the versatility on how to create your own types of cats. From doodles, to rainbow cats covering the page, this book shows you them all.

The book is suitable for any age and any capability of drawing talent from young children to adults, these cats are all simple doodles and we can all manage a cat doodle with this book if you're unsure how to!

Creative Marker Art & Beyond by Lee Foster-Wilson

Starting with a tools and materials list alongside a colour wheel explaining colour types and drawing tips all fully explained, the book sets you up with all the tips and tricks you need to understand creative marker art and colours that work and pattern types to try out too.

With ideas to try out with space on the page for you to work within the book if you wanted to, the book guides you through many ideas from nature inspired design to creative lettering and hand drawn gifts. 

The book is beautiful, colourful and laid out in a way that's still easy to read and not distracting from the colourful drawings! Each page is more and more inspiring and is sure to get you out of a creative rut or just get you involved in marker craft.

Edie Browne's Cottage By The Sea by Jane Linfoot

Edie following her break up with Marcus partakes in a skydive which is followed up with a supposed unrelated stroke.

Recovery is hard and slow and so Edie sets off to stay with her aunt Jo in Cornwall as she can't drive or work and needs to relearn things from reading, writing, maths skills to even wanting to get her sense of taste back after that vanishes too!

Her arrival causes a stir with a handsome man next door, Barnaby catching her quite literally when she first arrives.

Between crafting classes with her ballet mad auntie Jo and renovating her house too as they need to sell to make money, she finds her career coming in handy as she helps her auntie alongside Barnaby and her new craft club friends to decorate the buildings out back in their yard to make into work accommodation and make them some much needed money.

Barnaby also creates Sheperd's huts and so she also helps him to decorate them and to sell them. Through her time in Cornwall she befriends Cam, whom Barnaby is the guardian of and the boy grows find of Edie as he does her...

She also gets Dustin a service dog to help her and he comes to her rescue and form a good bond together.

However with a potential sale of their house and her ex Marcus showing up too alongside all the drama the stroke left from fainting to learning everything a new agin, what does Edie's heart truly want?

Stay or leave Cornwall?

Go back to Marcus or maybe take a chance on Barnaby?

Edie was a rare character in women's fiction to come across, from being seriously ill and daring too she will leave a mark on you and make you grateful for your life. This book was a fun sweet read and the cakes you read about will have you wanting to get baking or buying too as well as the craft talk make you want to have a go too, it did for me anyway!

The Cottage On Sunshine Beach by Holly Martin

Melody and Jamie are friends and also have young puppies whom are brothers they walk together. Melody has had a lot to deal with age losing her brother and so moving to by the sea so she can be closer to her sister and nephew. Tori her best friend also moved from London and now works on Jamie's brother's fruit farm. Melody is a jewellery designer and also hopes for her mother's approval after years of never getting it or any praise for her achievements.

Jamie's friend Klaus a fellow sand sculptor, helps him realise how he feels about Melody after she asks him round for dinner.

Melody and Jamie embark on a friendship just dating situation and winds up in a few hilarious situations and many emotional times happen too and some super sweet romantic times as the couple come to realise what they truly feel for each other.

The book was so good just like Holly Martin's other great books this one made the areas sound so picturesque with the names of the areas. I loved the puppies in the book being named after film characters and Agatha an older lady who knows all the best spots for a bit of outdoor fun, if you get my drift! Holly will make you laugh, cry and smile like crazy with every book she writes without fail!

The Secrets Of The Superglue Sisters by Susie Day

Georgie and her mum move in with Jem and her dad, brother Noah and sister Tilly.

Georgie and Jem are best friends and through their parents now actual sisters too as they move in, start school and get used to their new family set up.

However their friendship comes to blows when a school secret sharing box project goes missing and the girls find their deepest secrets are set loose for everyone to know...

A book that shows how secrets can be dangerous but also unite people. It was a book with likable characters and the family worked well on a whole. This secret aspect added another more mischievous side to the girls tale showing how a bond can be torn and mended. A great book to educate children on the value of truth and lies.
